40th Annual General Assembly (AGA)
Important Passport Information
The following important information is being repeated. It has been taken from the South Africa Government's Web site and is being relayed to all interliners by Capetown I.C. President, Alison Palmer:
Incoming visitors to South Africa must ensure that their passports meet the following two (2) requirements:
     that it not be less than six months to the date of expiry.
     that you have at least one full, free page in your passport for stamping by officials. This also applies to children's
     passports.
If either or both these requirements are not met, you will not be let out of the airport building and will be sent back to your country of origin.
Medical and Travel Insurance
Not only is medical insurance is extremely essential for travel to South Africa but also travel insurance for baggage loss particularly for those transiting Heathrow as you are no doubt aware of the local problems says Member of Honour, David Larkin. Interliners should be reminded to have a list of their baggage contents with them and have their home address and/or travel details clearly visible inside their suitcase.
Car Rental
David has also been advised that for all car rentals in South Africa drivers must provide an International Driving Permit/Licence in English together with their own National Driving Licence and Passport. He reports that driving is fairly easy in Cape Town and they drive on the "sensible left" side!

New Listing
Discovery China 2008 is being organized by the Hong Kong Interline Club Association Ltd. in July for yet another great opportunity for interliners to discover amazing and surprising China.
Snow, Sun and Fun 2008
Being organised by the Interairline Club Zurich, "Snow, Sun and Fun 2008" will take place from 24-30 March in Arosa Switzerland. This is an exciting package for skiers and non-skiers alike.
