13 April 2006

40th Annual General Assembly (AGA)
Registrations
Regional V.P., Yousef Yousef, advises that no more registrations will be accepted without deposits as a transfer of money to the tour operator will be taking place at the end of April. There are now over 160 interliners registered for the AGA with many of those also registered for the pre- and post-AGA tours.
Pre-AGA Tour
The Johannesburg/Sun City/Kruger Park (Safari)/Durban tour will start from Johannesburg on 9 September and end on 16 September in Cape Town after the flight from Durban. The dates shown on the application form were incorrect.
Post-AGA Tour
To clarify, the Cape Town to Port Elizabeth tour via the Garden Route will start in Cape Town following the AGA on 21 September and will end in Port Elizabeth on 26 September. It will not return to Cape Town. Transfer from the hotel on 26 September will be to the Port Elizabeth airport.
Details on the AGA plus the pre- and post-AGA tours can be found in the Calendar of Events section of the WACA Web site: /waca/events.

Grand Venture Bonanza
And the Winner is ...
Unfortunately, the winner in the redraw for a fabulous weekend package at the Inter-Regional Get Together in Prague from 20-22 April, donated by the Hungarian Interline Club, is also unable to travel to Prague. The draw was, therefore, performed again today by WACA Headquarters Assistant, Marina Tsolis, and the lucky winner is the Washington Interline Club with ticket number 70430 (the Club bought a block of tickets for its members). Congratulations.
Member Clubs are urged to sell as many Bonanza tickets as possible to generate much needed revenues for the Association. Clubs requiring tickets should order them from Headquarters and sell them as soon as possible because the second draw will be held at the end of April for a wonderful package for one (based on double occupancy) at the Inter-Islands Festival - Mauritius and Rodriques from 4-7 June, plus airfare MRU/RRG/MRU, donated by the Indian Ocean Islands Interline Club.
One of the previously announced cash prizes of USD 100.00 will now been donated to WACA by the Washington Interline Club - thank you.
Complete details of the 2007 Grand Venture Bonanza can be found of the WACA Web site in the News and Press Releases section: /waca/news.

Yours in interlining,
