41st Annual General Assembly (AGA) Minutes
In accordance with 2.5.4(c) of the Bylaws, the Secretary General received objections to the Minutes from the Montreal Interline Club and the following items will now be amended and considered for approval at the 42nd AGA:

4.3 Roll Call
Thirty-four (34) Member Clubs answered the call: 12 out of 18 from the European Region, seven out of eight from the Far East and Australasia Region, two out of six from the Latin America and Caribbean Region, three out of eight from the Africa, Indian Ocean Islands and Middle East Region and 11 out of 14 from the North American Region. A sufficient number of Member Clubs were present to form a quorum.
N.B. It was noted later that a delegate had been recorded as being present from the Johannesburg Interline Club. In fact this was not the case and, therefore, a total of thirty-three (33) Member Clubs were present.

17.5 Proposal No. 5 — Washington Interline Club (Proposed amendment to the Bylaws: 2.4.5(b)) (last two sentences of the item).
Before Julian moved for a vote on the motion, the delegate from the Washington I.C. requested that the motion be tabled until the next AGA. The request was accepted.

After further discussion took place following the vote in favour of the motion, and before the vote for those against the motion, Maga suggested that it be tabled until the next AGA. The Washington I.C. accepted the suggestion.

42nd AGA: The 2009 Interline Celebration
Registrations have begun and our preparations are well in hand for WACA's 2009 Interline Celebration to be held in Kuala Lumpur from 4-9 October reports WACA Secretary General, Julian Chau. Interliners are requested to complete the registration form and return it with the deposit to WACA Headquarters.

Pre-AGA Tours
The island of Langkawi awaits interliners for the "Langkawi Tropical Get-Away" from 30 September-4 October being organised by WACA. The completed registration form for this tour should be returned with the deposit to WACA Headquarters. Details can be found in the Event Calendar section of the WACA Web site.
The Airline Club Singapore will welcome interliners for a city tour prior to the Interline Celebration. The completed registration form for this tour should be returned with the deposit to the Airline Club Singapore. Details can be found in the Event Calendar section of the WACA Web site.
Post-AGA Tours
If you want to experience life in the jungle, the "Borneo Adventure" being organised by WACA from 9-14 October should meet your every requirement. Alternatively, the Airline Club Singapore will take interliners on a tour of the Malaysian State of Malacca with UNESCO's World Heritage Site of Malacca Town. Further details on these two exciting tours will be available soon.

43rd AGA
The following information has been received from the Interline Club of Portugal.
Due to the current worldwide economical situation we have a slight delay preparing both AGA programmes: Brazil and the Azores. The proposal for the AGA to be held in Recife and the proposal for the Azores will be finalised very soon and will be presented by our Club member and WACA V.P. Public Relations, Rosemarie Mamede, at the EC Meeting in Montreal at the end of February. In any event, we will do our best to organise a great AGA!

Grand Venture Bonanza
2009 Prizes
A number of tickets for the 2009 Bonanza have already been sold and interliners are reminded that the following fabulous prizes have already offered:
Package "A" for one person (based on double occupancy) at the WACA Spring Get Together in Vienna donated by the Hungarian Interline Club;
a package for one person (based on double occupancy) at the 2009 Interline Celebration in Kuala Lumpur donated by WACA.
Can your Club donate a prize to assist WACA raise some much needed revenues? All prizes big or small will be greatly appreciated.

Events Calendar
New Listing
The San Diego Interline Club will be accepting registrations up to the end of January for its "Gray Whale Watching Weekend" being held from 20-22 February. This is a unique event in the WACA calendar as the migration of these whales can be seen nowhere else in the world.
Update
Interliners from around the world are reminded to participate in a "WACA Spring Get Together" (which includes the European Regional Meeting) from 16-18 April in Vienna (Package A) or from 16-20 April in Vienna and Salzburg (Package B). The registration deadline is 1 March and several registrations have already been received for these exciting packages.
